Adding and managing users in your organization lets you delegate responsibilities (e.g., managing events, handling check-ins) while maintaining proper access controls. This guide explains user permission types, how to add or remove users, and how to manage notifications.
Manage Your User and Notification Settings
To manage your own user, you can click the icon on the top right with your initials to expose your user menu. There you should see an option titled "My Account". Click that to review you user settings page. Here you can manage your user profile name and information, and edit your notification settings.
How To Add or Manage Users in your Ticket Selling Organization
Go to "Settings" and then select "Users". That page will list the existing user and will have an option to create a new user if that option is available for the acting user.
Here are some useful things to know about users and user settings.
- User Permission Types
- Account Owner: Full access, including payment settings and creating other Account Owners.
- Admin: Full access to view and change organization and event settings, can add Admin or Staff users, can read all report information, cannot change access payment settings.
- Staff: Can view events information, and handle event check-ins, cannot view revenue reports or summaries.
- Adding a New User
- Go to Settings > Users.
- Click the + icon to add a user.
- Enter the user’s name, email, and choose their permission level.
- Click Save User to send a welcome email.
- New User Activation
- The new user must verify their email address and set a password via the welcome email link.
- If they can’t find the welcome email, resend it from the user summary page.
- Managing Users
- Reset Password: Sends an email with a reset link if they’ve previously logged in.
- Edit Permissions: Change a user’s role (e.g., Staff to Admin).
- Notification Preferences
- Users can receive emails for certain activities (e.g., order confirmations, event updates).
- Notifications can be sent immediately or in a digest format, which can be customized.
