Venues are items that hold location information for events. They also hold floor plan templates and default tickets to make it easier to create similar events at the same venue.
Adding and Managing Venues
You can add a venue when you are creating an event. You may click on "Venues" in the navigation menu and look for the option to add "+" a new venue. Enter the required info and click to continue and save the new venue.
Using Existing Venues
A venue may have been used before by a ticket seller on a site, and that venue will be saved and accessible to any other ticket seller on the site.
Venue Ownership Rules
Venues are shared across all organizations within a portal, but the organization that first creates the venue becomes its "owner." Only the venue owner can edit details like the venue name, address, and description. However, other organizations can still use the venue for their events and create floor plans or default tickets.
Floor Plans in Venues
Floor plans can be created and saved in a venue. This allows them to be pulled into any new event being hosted at the venue. Any organization can use a floor plan that is saved in a venue, but only the organization that made the floor plan can edit it in the venue.
See here for info on creating and editing floor plans for reserved seat events.
Manage Default Tickets in a Venue
Create Default Tickets
Default tickets can be created when making a new event. Simply create the tickets for your event and select the checkbox that is present when creating tickets (see below). This is an option when making a new event, and may or may not be an option when editing existing tickets.
Any default tickets created in a venue are only visible and available to users in that organization. While other event creators can view a Venue, they will only see the default tickets they created for that venue.
Add or Delete Default Tickets in the Venue
Navigate to the Venues tab in the main navigation and select your venue from the Venues list. From the venue dashboard you will see the My Default Tickets card. Expand that to view to create new or delete existing default tickets. You can also edit, add, or remove tickets and price levels from your Default Tickets.
Any changes you make to tickets in the Default Ticket Settings for your venue will not change the settings of tickets for any of your existing events. These settings simply dictate the set of tickets that will populate for any new event you create at this venue.
