We offer two versions of the Evvnt app: iOS and Android. The iOS version is newer and recommended. While the Android version is still available, but it is no longer being updated so any existing bugs will require workarounds.

Login with your Evvnt Ticketing User
To use the Evvnt box office app, users need a login. Admins can create these logins in the settings of the browser-based ticketing app.
Admins have full access in the mobile app: they can scan, sell, refund tickets, and view ticket counts and revenue totals for events in the event dashboard. Staff users, on the other hand, can scan and sell tickets but cannot process refunds. Staff users can access an event's dashboard to see the number of tickets sold and scanned, but not the revenue details.
Your login for the mobile box office app is the same login that you use to access the web-based ticketing admin pages here. You may see options to select an account if you belong to more than one ticketing organization or portal in our system.
Scanning Tickets
You must allow the app to have permission to use the camera to scan tickets.
Tips for scanning tickets:
- Make sure camera permissions are enabled for scanning QR codes.
- The app gives a sound or vibration, and a green notice for successful scans.
- You can use "View Order" button to check in all tickets for a group quickly.
- If you see "Guest already checked in," it likely means the ticket was scanned twice. Check the timestamp to confirm it’s a duplicate scan, not a previously used ticket.
- (Optional) select your event to only accept tickets to that event. You can also choose to only allow the scanning specific ticket types if needed.
Search for Orders
If an attendee doesn’t have their e-ticket, you can search for their order to check them in. Use the search page and enter the first few letters of a name or email. Once you find the order, click it to view details, then click the ticket count to open the list of tickets and tap to select tickets and then select "Check in".
Selling Tickets in the Mobile Box Office
SPECIAL NOTE: Tickets that are attached to a seating chart cannot be sold via the mobile box office app. If you are planning to sell seats on a seating chart at your event, you will need a computer to do so, or you can post a "Skip the Line" posted to sell tickets.
To sell tickets via the mobile app, select "Box Office" from the menu and choose an event. Tickets will appear here based on the ticket sales start/end dates (configured in the browser-based admin's "Ticket Settings" section).
There are also special settings in the event's ticket settings that can make some tickets only available for sale at the gate. To do this, disable the "Sell Online" option and only using the "Sell in Gate App" option. Admins can always override ticket availability using a "Show all" option in the mobile app.
Payment Options
You can accept card, cash/check, or comp tickets in the mobile box office app.
For quickly accepting credit card payments, a card reader can help speed up that process (see below). Otherwise card numbers can be entered manually in the absence of a reader. Location services must be enabled in the app to use the card reader.
Credit card transactions include ticket fees, taxes, and merchant fees. Cash sales include a ticket fee but no credit card processing fees. For comped tickets, select "Comp" to create a $0 order with no fees.
Connecting a Card Reader
For security reasons, only card readers provided by Evvnt will work with our mobile app, and they can't be used with other apps. Fill out this form to purchase a card reader directly from Evvnt. You can also reach out to your local ticketing site partner as they may have some available to borrow.
Follow these steps to connect your reader:
-
From the payment screen, select "Connect Readers" or go directly to the readers list via "Settings."
-
Turn on the reader by pressing the side button; you’ll hear a sound.
-
The reader will appear in the list. Use the last 4 digits of the reader ID to identify it if multiple are nearby.
-
Once selected, you’ll see the reader's battery and connection status. Tap "Connect" in the top right.
-
If prompted by your device, choose "Pair" to complete the connection.
Connecting a reader for the first time may initiate an update to the reader software, which will start automatically if required. Once connected, the reader will stay connected to that device until disconnected. The reader may power off if idle for more than 5 minutes. Powering it back on will cause the reader to reconnect to the same device automatically.
Real-time Box Office Dashboard
The Box Office Dashboard shows revenue for admin users and "Sold" and "Checked in" counts for admin and staff. This shows realtime data and can be updated by dragging down from the top of the screen.
